7th Annual CCBA Golf Tournament
 The Cameron County Bar Association will host the 7th Annual CCBA Golf Tournament on October 23, 2010, at Rancho Viejo. The tournament will be the standard four- person “Florida Scramble” format. In addition to cash prizes for first, second and third places, there will be cash prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin. Luke Fruia Motors is sponsoring a hole-in-one contest with the winner getting a 2010 Cadillac. There will also be a “Putt Off” competition for $10,000 cash.

LPGA Professional Marlowe Boukis was quest speaker at the Women’s Law Section luncheon on April 21, 2010. Ms. Boukis addressed the Women’s Law Section attendees on the Duramed FUTURES Tour and her project Birdies 4 Books – www.birdies4books.org.
She was accompanied by Lisa D. Mickey, Senior Writer of New Media & Communications Manager with the Duramed FUTURES Tour.

Project Inspire - The Pipeline to the Classroom
On April 30, 2010, the Cameron County Young Lawyers Association completed Project Inspire. Project Inspire involved CCYLA volunteer lawyers visiting the fourth grade students of Russell and Ortiz Elementary to encourage them to achieve educational success as well as introduce them to our legal system and the law. CCYLA presented curriculum to the students provided by the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s Project Pipeline program.

Annual Meeting & Installation Dinner
The Cameron County Bar Association and the Cameron County Young Lawyer's Association Annual Meeting and Installation Dinner will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the Shrimp Haus, at Shlitterbahn Water Park in South Padre Island.
