On May 12, 2009, the Cameron County Bar Association and the TRLA teamed up again for the last pro bono divorce clinic for 2008 - 2009. With assistance from Judge Leonel Alejandro and staff members' Corina Garcia, bailiff Moises Rivera, District Clerk's staff Rosie Sotelo and Rosa Maria Ochoa and CCBA members and attorneys, 12 petitions were signed and 15 new petitions were filed.
Thank you to attorneys and CCBA members Jesse Quezada, Jim Hunter, Sonia Herrera, Atnthony James, Christopher Phillippe, Jim Denison, Kent Hamby, Tom Lockhart, David Roerig, Rene Oliveria, Jr., Brian Hull, David Willis, Lou Costilla, Trey Colvin, Lisa Taylor, and Ricardo Adobatti for volunteering and "just taking one". Many of our volunteers took more than one! The Community Justice Program will begin again on September 8, 2009. Please plan on "just taking one" for our 2009 - 2010 CJP.
